As gamers, there are two types of games that we can discover: those that are already released, and those that we need to wait for before they become available to play. When it comes to the latter, we must exhibit patience and restraint, play a demo if one becomes available, and otherwise just wait. I can say with absolute honesty that I am not patient, and I have been particularly impatient when it comes to Woodo

Woodo is a delightfully adorable and cozy wooden diorama puzzle game developed by Tiny Monks Tale, and I will never forget how much I fell in love with the concept of the game the first time I saw it. I also dropped everything while on vacation visiting my fiancé, just so I could play the demo on his computer and then write about it for TNT.

And now, at a time when I am swimming in newly released indie games that I already want to play, Woodo finally has a release date.

When is the release date of Woodo?

If you’ve been waiting for this gorgeous puzzle game as I have, you’ll be happy to know that the release date is not months in the future. The wait is almost over, as confirmed by this X post from Yullia Prohorova, a lovely developer behind the game:

Woodo will finally be playable in its entirety on September 16, 2026! That means that everything we fell in love with during the demo will be right there to enjoy all over again, and so much more beyond what we’ve already seen. I can't wait to dive in, slot the pieces into place, and get lost in the stunning wooden world of Woodo!

Despite my backlog of Steam games screaming at me to play them, you can bet I’m going to drop everything once September 16 arrives, just like I did for the demo all those months ago. If you want to join me, you can wishlist Woodo on Steam to get notified as soon as it drops.
