I can’t say I’ve ever had even the tiniest desire to perform orthodontic work on a great white shark, but that’s exactly what’s on offer in the next game in development by Alice Games: Shark Dentist

Revealed on July 10, 2025, Shark Dentist is a horror game in which you enter an underground facility and do dental work on the most dangerous, tooth-filled creatures on the planet.

What could possibly go wrong?

I’m sure we’re all in agreement here that the answer to this question is obvious: Pretty much everything.

Inside a dark and grungy basement, sharks will be hung up in front of you while you utilize every tool at your disposal to deal with their dental woes. Abscesses, decay, gingivitis, and broken teeth will all need to be fixed up without waking the shark. What happens if you do wake the shark, I hear you ask?

Your head (or another miscellaneous body part) gets bitten off. It’s probably not worth thinking about.

It’s like a much more dangerous and darker version of the Crocodile Dentist kids’ toy. You know the one, where you take it in turns to push down the teeth until you trigger the crocodile to chomp down on your fingers. Obviously, Shark Dentist will be a much more nerve-wracking experience, but as a mother, I can’t help but draw the comparison here.

Not everything in Shark Dentist will be under your control. While you can try your best to keep a steady hand, random events such as tool malfunctions can occur at any time. It’s enough to set your own teeth on edge, let alone the shark’s. You’ll need to monitor oxygen levels and anaesthesia dosages, as well, so you’d better hope that multitasking is one of your skills before you take on the challenge.

If you want to follow development of Shark Dentist and be the first to know when a release date is revealed, you can go and wishlist the game now on Steam. You can also join the Discord for more real-time updates.
