Sort Them Ducks guide: All duck categories and hidden egg locations

If you’re a fan of dopamine-fueled sorting games and have been on Steam at any point in the last few days, you’ve probably stumbled across Sort Them Ducks. It’s a “here’s a pile of ducks, now sort them” explosion of color and shapes, and it can feel a little overwhelming. 

Let’s face it, suddenly being thrown into a pile of 4,000+ ducks and being tasked with organizing them was never going to be a straightforward process. You need to figure out where everything goes, with some surprises along the way, and on top of that, there are hidden eggs dotted around the place that you need to collect if you want your very own personalized duck at the end of your run.

Sort Them Ducks: All categories and ducks, listed

There are 19 categories of ducks in Sort Them Ducks, and each category has 10 different types of ducks to shelve. There are 20 of each themed duck to find. Then there’s the rainbow tower that takes center stage in front of the office, which has different numbers of ducks to find depending on color.

On top of that, there are five custom ducks designed for followers of the game; they go on pedestals on the left side of the office room. There’s also Mr. Duck himself, who is bright yellow with a black top hat. He goes on the office chair behind the desk.

How many ducks you need to find of each type depends on the color, with more ducks being needed to fill the bottom shelves of the tower than the top. Here’s how many of each you need to find:

Sort Them Ducks: All hidden egg locations

There are 10 hidden eggs around the two rooms in Sort Them Ducks, and collecting them allows you to get your own personalized duck, as well as an achievement.

Here’s where to find them all:

1. On the right side of the slot machine, in the corner next to the Fruits shelf

2. On the chair behind the cash register at the front of the store

3. Wedged behind the right side door into the office

4. Next to the right side corner of the Pirates shelf

5. Behind the monitor on the desk in the office

6. Inside the lamp on the unit where the follower pedestals are

7. Wedged between the low unit and the shelving unit to the right of the desk in the office

8. On the right wing of the giant centurion duck near the Warriors shelf

9. On the top left corner of the Cowboys shelf

10. Wedged between the Animals and Music shelves
